EPL: What I told Chelsea players after 0-0 draw with Everton – Maresca

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, has said he told his players he was happy with them following a 0-0 draw with Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Blues failed to build on a 2-1 win over Brentford last week, as they couldn’t break down the Toffees at Goodison Park.

The dropped points meant Maresca’s men failed to go top of the table ahead of Tottenham vs Liverpool.

But the Italian was happy to get something from a “tricky” game.

Maresca said: “I’m very happy, I told this to the players. I’m more happy than the Brentford game.

“Everton it’s a tricky game, tricky stadium, tricky team, they’re one of the five best teams defensively in Europe in terms of clean sheets.”
