I’m afraid of marriage – Actress Kiitan Bukola

Nollywood actress, Kiitan Bukola, has spoken about her fears of getting married.

The actress, during the latest episode of ‘Talk to B’ podcast, revealed that she never experienced the love and care of a father.

Recounting her childhood experience, she explained that her fear stems from a desire to provide her kids with a stable and loving home, that she never had.

“I don’t have a father who cared how I wanted it. Like, I didn’t enjoy the love of father to mother together. So, it hurts me a lot.

“I never lived together with my parents. The funny thing is that I don’t know some of my father’s children because we are close to fourteen.

“I have friends who have been through a lot in their marriages. And I have some that have enjoyed it. I don’t want to have children out of wedlock. I want my children to experience fatherly care.

“I love marriage, but I’m scared of it at the same time, I don’t want my children to grow up without fatherly care, or in a separate home. My ideal man is very understanding and prayerful. I don’t want stress. I want to let someone I can call my best friend. Someone that will understand the difference between my job and our home.

“Because I once dated someone who would tell me to return money for a job on a day I’m supposed to go to set.”

Recall that Bukola announced her engagement in November 2022, but the relationship ended two months after over alleged infidelity.
