Strive to build fair, transparent capital market – SEC DG to stakeholders

The Director General, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Dr. Emomotimi Agama, has advised shareholders in the capital market to strive to build a capital market that is fair, transparent and inclusive.

ln his Christmas message to the capital market community in Abuja, Agama wished them and their loved ones a joyous Christmas and a prosperous New Year and reminded them that only a fair and transparent capital market can attract both local and foreign investors.

“As we celebrate the joy, love, and magic of the season, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to all stakeholders in the Nigerian capital market for your tireless efforts, commitment, and resilience.

“Remember that we need to remain steadfast and resolute in our determination to have the capital market that we desire,” he advised.

The SEC DG observed the contributions of issuers, intermediaries, and other market participants investors, saying that they had been instrumental in shaping the Nigerian capital market into a vibrant and attractive destination for investors.
