EPL: Man Utd could sack me – Amorim admits

Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has admitted his job will be “in danger” as the team’s poor run of form continues.

United lost their third consecutive match with a 2-0 defeat to Wolves on Boxing Day.

Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag during the November international break and has had little time to work with his players.

But despite the mitigating factors which have seen United embark on a run of five defeats in the last seven games, Amorim has said he does not feel safe at Old Trafford.

“The manager of Manchester United can never, no matter what, be comfortable,” Amorim said.

“I know that if we don’t win, regardless, if they pay the buyout [for me] or not, I know that every manager is in danger and I like that because that is the job, so I understand the question.

“You can argue that I have been here one month and I’ve had four training [sessions], but we are not winning. That is the reality and I’m quite comfortable with that.”
