Serie A: Lazio boss demands more work from me – Dele-Bashiru

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru says Lazio manager, Marco Baroni is pushing hard to see him become a better player.

Dele-Bashiru arrived at Lazio on a season long-loan deal from Turkish club, Hatayspor in the summer.

After a slow start to life in Italy, the Nigeria international is now settling down well at the club.

The 23-year-old put up an impressive display in the Biancocelesti 1-1 draw with Atalanta on Saturday night, scoring his side’s only goal of the game.

The midfielder acknowledged the role played by Baroni and his coaching staff in his development.

“They [Baroni and the Lazio coaching staff] help me a lot, and what he [Baroni] wants me to do more is when I receive the ball, to go forward more, my body positions, things like that. So I’m trying to implement that into my game,” he told Lazio TV.

The Manchester City academy graduate has contributed four goals and two assists in 14 appearances this season.
