Jimmy Carter: Compassionate friend to Nigeria – Tinubu mourns

President Bola Tinubu has reacted to the death of ex-United States of America president Jimmy Carter.

Media Talk Africa reports that Carter, who served as the US President from 1977 to 1981 passed away at the age of 100.

Tinubu in a State House release on Monday extended his condolences to the US government and the people.

“President Carter showed us all how to remain relevant and impactful after leaving the esteemed position of President of the United States,” President Tinubu remarked.

“He addressed the challenges faced by the developing world, from combating diseases to mediating conflicts and advocating for democratic values. He embodied grace, dignity, and a deep respect for humanity.

“President Carter, the 39th President of the United States, was a beacon of service to humanity, illustrating to leaders worldwide the significant impact of commitment beyond the highest office.”
