Tinubu deserves more support from South-East – Deputy Speaker Kalu

Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu has called for more support for President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, in the South-East.

Kalu made the call at his country home, Bende in Abia State on Sunday during a town hall meeting with traditional rulers and other members of Bende Federal constituency which he represents.

He informed his constituents that Tinubu has demonstrated enough determination in tackling infrastructural decay in the Abia State in particular and the South-East at large, adding that he became the Deputy Speaker through the support of the President.

Kalu while saying that no President had showed so much love for the South-East like Tinubu, called on his constituents and the people of the South-East to give more support to the APC administration led by Tinubu.

The deputy speaker who launched a N500 million grant for 8,400 businesses and families in Bende Federal Constituency, said it was to support businesses and families towards eradication of poverty and hunger as well as creation of wealth in the area.

He challenged the beneficiaries of the business and family support grant to utilize the opportunity by lifting their communities by becoming wealth creators.

Kalu further said that several roads and other public facilities which were in terrible condition in Bende have been reconstructed through his legislative representation, adding that all the ongoing projects would also be delivered.
