140 journalists among more than 42,000 killed in Gaza – Amnesty International

Amnesty International says Israeli forces have killed at least 42,010 people in Gaza including 13,319 children and approximately 140 journalists.

The group’s Country Director, Isa Sunsui, disclosed these figures during the relaunch of a report titled, ‘You Feel Like You Are Subhuman’.

The report outlines the devastating impact of Israel’s ongoing military actions in Gaza.

Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, Auwal Rafsanjani, appealed to governments across the world to condemn what he described as genocide against the Palestinian people.

“The international community cannot continue to stand by while innocent lives are being lost on such a massive scale. Governments must take a stand against these atrocities,” Rafsanjani stated.

According to him, the relaunch event is aimed at drawing attention to the dire humanitarian crisis in Gaza and renew calls for accountability and justice for victims.

The group reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for the protection of civilians and holding perpetrators accountable for violations of international law.

The report emphasized testimonies from survivors and witnesses, shedding light on the severe destruction and suffering experienced by the people of Gaza.
