EPL: Gary Neville snubs Liverpool again, names team to win title

Former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville, is still backing Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season.

Before the 2024/2025 campaign kicked off, Neville had predicted that the Gunners would finally lift the piece of silverware that has eluded them for over two decades.

But Mikel Arteta’s men have endured a mixed first half of the season and currently sit third in the table.

Arsenal are nine points behind leaders Liverpool ahead of their trip to Brentford on Wednesday.

The Reds are enjoying an impressive season under Arne Slot and have won 14 of their 18 matches so far.

However, Neville believes it will be Arsenal who will be crowned champions.

He told Sky Sports: “Sometimes they go through the pain. Liverpool are massive favourites and they’re in great form but there is still a long way to go.

“Arsenal have been through the mild last couple of years. They’ve sort of gone to the wire and sometimes when you win the first time it doesn’t happen in the most expected way, things can happen.”
