Ace music executive and CEO of Kennis Music, Kenny Ogungbe, has addressed the rumours that he was responsible for Plantashun Boiz’s split.

There have been rumours that Plantashun Boiz broke up after Kennis Music signed the star singer, 2Face.

Addressing the in a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, Baba Keke said the group had already broken up when 2Face came to him for assistance.

He said, “People have been saying l’m the one responsible for the breakup of Plantashun Boiz.

“That’s not true. 2face came to me himself after the group had broken up that he wanted to sign with Kennis music and Eedris Abdulkareem told me to sign him which I did.”

Plantashun Boiz, a group comprising 2Face, Blackface and Faze, split in 2004 after the release of their sophomore album ‘Sold Out’.

In 2007, the group reunited for a third and final album ‘Plan B’, before splitting again.
