EPL: Man Utd won’t give me money to spend in January – Amorim

Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has admitted that the Premier League club will not give him money to spend in the January transfer window.

United lost 2-0 to Newcastle at Old Trafford on Monday – their fourth consecutive defeat across all competitions.

This poor run has raised concerns about the squad’s inability to adapt to Amorim’s preferred 3-4-3 formation.

However, the 39-year-old does not expect a budget to address these issues when the transfer window opens in January.

“We don’t have that possibility in January,” Amorim told reporters.

“You know the situation better than I [do]. It’s not the case I am not arriving here and I can spend a lot of money, changing all the team. You know the situation so it’s not a point to talk about it.”
