Governor Namadi signs Jigawa’s 2025 Appropriation Bill into law

Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi has signed the 2025 appropriation bill into law.

This is coming less than 24 hours after the State House of Assembly passed the 2025 Appropriation Bill.

Media Talk Africa reported that Governor Malam Umar Namadi presented N698.3 billion as the 2025 budget before the Jigawa State House of Assembly.

The budget tagged “Budget of Innovation and Transformation for Greater Jigawa” is higher than the previous year’s 2023 estimate of N383.55 by 82 per cent.

According to the governor: “Today marks an important day for us signing the appropriation bill into law. This is a historic budget in the history of Jigawa State.”

He urged ministries, departments and agencies to work assiduously for the implementation of the budget, while he commended the state’s legislature for the speedy consideration and passage of the bill.
