Former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi has showered encomium on Ola Aina, Media Talk Africa reports.
Aina has been one of the key performers for Nottingham Forest this season.
The 27-year-old has scored twice in 19 league appearances for the Tricky Trees in the current campaign.
The Chelsea academy graduate was voted Forest’s Player of the Month for November. He also Goal of the Month prize.
Mikel said Aina has improved tremendously since he left Chelsea.
“He has had a good season so far. One thing he has added to his game this season is that he’s defending well. He is putting in a lot of crosses now and, of course, chipping in a couple of goals as well, which is absolutely fantastic to see,” Mikel said on Obi One Podcast.
“Listen, we all knew he was a fantastic player at the club. He has gone to Forest and has been playing well since returning to the Premier League from Italy.”
