Transfer: Arsenal confirm deal for Robinson

Arsenal have confirmed that Josh Robinson has left the club to join League One side, Wigan Athletic, on a permanent transfer.

This is coming ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League away clash with Brentford on Wednesday evening.

“We thank Josh for his contribution to the club during his time with us and wish him all the best for his next chapter with Wigan Athletic,” Arsenal’s statement partly read.

Robinson joined Arsenal’s academy in March 2016 at the age of 11.

He progressed at Hale End before signing his first professional contract with the club in July 2023.

The 20-year-old has made 65 appearances for Arsenal’s U-18 and U-21 sides.

The versatile defender was rewarded with first-team involvement, featuring as an unused substitute in four of Arsenal’s six UEFA Champions League league phase games this season.
