EPL: He lacks concentration – Ian Wright calls out Arsenal star

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has called out goalkeeper David Raya for his ‘lack of concentration’ in the Gunners’ Premier League win against Brentford on Wednesday.

Raya narrowly avoided a huge error during Arsenal’s 3-1 Premier League win over Brentford.

Mikel Arteta’s side fell 1-0 behind against the hosts but turned the match around thanks to three goals from Gabriel Jesus, Mikel Merino, and Gabriel Martinelli.

The result could have turned out very differently, as Raya almost gifted Brentford a second goal just moments before Jesus’ equaliser.

The Spain international somehow let Brentford’s Keane Lewis-Potter’s shot slip through his fingers, with the ball bouncing agonisingly towards goal.

But Raya reacted quickly, leaping back to claw the ball off the goal line in dramatic fashion.

“It’s a lack of concentration from David Raya,” Wright told Premier League Productions about the incident.

“He does brilliantly to recover. You can see the desperation from him. You can see how close it was.

“That would have been disastrous, especially with the way Arsenal were dominating.”
