Portugal: Onyeamachi scoops Boavista’s POTM award

Super Eagles defender Bruno Onyemaechi has won the Boavista Player of the Month award for December.

Media Talk Africa reports that Onyemaechi was recognized by the fans for his positive contribution to the team.

The left-back thanked the fans for their support and expressed his determination to do more for the club.

“It’s not just about this award. It’s about the commitment, the team’s effort, the good work we do in the games, even when we don’t get a good result,” he told the club’s official website.

“Of course, I’m happy to win this award, but the most important thing is the game against Arouca, which we really want to win.”

Boavista, which occupies 17th position on the Portuguese League table, is battling to escape relegation.
