Zamfara Govt stresses collaboration with FMC Gusau

Zamfara State Commissioner for Health, Dr Nafisa Muhammad Maradun, has said that she visited the Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Gusau, on Friday to facilitate collaboration between FMC and the State Ministry of Health.
Speaking during the visit, the commissioner said the visit was aimed at exploring ways to improve healthcare access for residents in the state.

The commissioner highlighted the state government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare delivery in the state, making it imperative to collaborate with the FMC.

She further stated that officials from both entities will collaborate on key areas, including expanding access to quality healthcare and strengthening the medical workforce, and improving access to essential medical equipment.

Receiving the commissioner, the Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre, Gusau, Bello A. Mohammed, welcomed the partnership with the state government in the area of health development.

The Medical Director stated the importance of a unified approach to address the unique healthcare needs of the Zamfara State population.

Media Talk Africa recalls that the Commissioner of Health was a staff member of FMC before receiving his political appointment.
