EPL: Maresca explains why Chelsea played 1-1 with Crystal Palace

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has said that his team played to a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday because his players did not do enough to win the match.
According to Maresca, Chelsea were not clinical enough in front of goal against the hosts.

Cole Palmer gave Chelsea the lead before Jean-Philippe Mateta scored a late equaliser for Palace at Selhurst Park.

Speaking in his post-match interview, Maresca lamented the late goal the Blues conceded.

“We did enough to win the game today. Between the first and second halves, we created enough chances to win the game, but we need to be clinical,” he said.

“Unfortunately, in the end, we conceded, but overall, I think we did enough to win the game.”
