Transfer: Egyptian club, Al Ahly eye Kelechi Iheanacho

Egyptian giants, Al Ahly are reportedly working on the possibility of signing Kelechi Iheanacho, Media Talk Africa reports.

Iheanacho is pushing to leave La Liga club, Sevilla less than six months after joining Marco Baroni’s side on a free transfer.

The forward has struggled to make much impact at the Spanish club with zero goal and assists from nine league appearances.

The 28-year-old has strong interest from clubs in England, Greece, Turkey, England and the USA.

However, according to English outlet Express, Al Ahly have emerged as a contender for Iheanacho’s signature as a possible replacement for South African forward Percy Tau.

Sevilla are open to the striker leaving on loan with a option to buy at the end of the season.
