Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed that Ethan Nwaneri will be out for “weeks” with a muscle issue.
Nwaneri scored the Gunners’ goal as they drew 1-1 at Brighton last Saturday.
But the 17-year-old was forced off at halftime with the injury.
Arteta has now confirmed the attacking midfielder will be out for a “few weeks” with the issue.
The teenager has earned his Arsenal game time after some impressive performances.
This season, he has been fast-tracked into the first team due to the club’s injury issues.
Bukayo Saka, Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Raheem Sterling are all out injured, and that is not helping the Gunners’ hunt for trophies this term.
Nwaneri has made 18 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal this season, scoring five goals along the way. He is seen as the latest academy gem at the club.
