‘It’s APC curse’ – Sam Amadi reacts to alleged threat on Peter Obi

The Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thoughts, Sam Amadi, has downplayed the possibility of the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka plotting evil against the former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Amadi blamed what he called APC curse for Amadi’s remark against Obi.

Obi had alleged a threat to his life following his criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s administration in his New Year message.

In a post on his X handle yesterday, the former Anambra State governor asked if he has “really crossed the line” following alleged threats against his life, family, and associates.

His allegation followed a statement credited to Morka, in an interview with Arise TV on Sunday, where Morka said “Peter Obi has crossed the line so many times and he has what’s coming to him, and whatever he gets, he should manage it.”

Reacting, Amadi posted on X: “I know @Morka2Felix as reasonable and intelligent. We were graduate course mates. He is polished. I don’t know what got over him. I hear about the @OfficialAPCNg curse.

“May be. But I don’t see him plotting evil against @PeterObi for good natured criticism. That’s unlike Felix.”

Meanwhile, the Obidient Movement, in a statement signed by Dr Yunusa Tanko, said it considered Morka’s remark a direct threat to Obi’s life, and the peace of the Nigerian state.

The Obidient Movement said it views the statement as not only an attack on the vocal 2023 LP’s presidential candidate, but also a dangerous signal of the country’s descent into authoritarianism under the Tinubu administration.
