Super Eagles coaching job: Malian Chelle in advanced talks with NFF

Malian tactician Eric Sekou Chelle is reportedly in pole position to be named the new head coach of the Super Eagles.
According to reports, the 47-year-old is already in advanced talks with the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, for the vacant position.

Chelle was in charge of the Malian national team at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.

His agent is also reportedly in Abuja to negotiate with NFF.

The technical committee of the NFF has also settled on the young tactician.

NFF president Ibrahim Gusau revealed on Tuesday that the soccer house will soon appoint a substantive head coach for the Super Eagles.

Former international Augustine Eguavoen guided the team to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualification.
