CHAN2024: Okejepha backs Home Eagles to win competition

Former Rivers United midfielder, Augustine Okejepha, believes that the home-based Super Eagles have the quality to excel at the 2024 African Nations Championship, CHAN.

Okejepha commended the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, for their efforts in preparing the team for the tournament.

The CHAN tournament, to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, will run from February 1 to February 28, 2025.

“I have been following the team’s preparations through the qualifying round to this stage and I must say that I am impressed with the quality of players and the coaching crew,” the Simba SC midfielder stated.

“The CHAN Eagles have a good mix of experience and youth, and I believe that they will give a good account of themselves at the championship.

“They have been working hard, and their dedication and commitment to the cause is evident.

“When you have players Iike Adamu Abubakar, Sodiq Ismail, Rabiu Ali (Pele), Badmus Nurudeen and other quality players in the mix, then you know the Eagles have a better chance to excel in the championship.

“The NFF has been doing a great job in supporting the team, and I believe that their efforts will pay off.”
