Gombe Gov, Yahaya joins sub-national consultations on tax reform in Abuja

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, is participating in the two-day Sub-national Consultations and Engagement with the Presidential Committee on Tax Reform.

This was disclosed in a statement on the official Facebook page of Ismaila Uba Misilli, Director-General of Press Affairs, Government House, on Thursday.

The high-level meeting, organized by the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and chaired by Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, is taking place at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

The event has brought together governors from across the country and key stakeholders, including relevant ministers, the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Tax Reform, Commissioners of Finance, State Attorneys-General, Accountants-General, and Chairpersons of State Internal Revenue Services.

Taiwo Oyedele, Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Tax Reform, is leading the discussions with governors on the proposed Tax Reform Bills currently before the National Assembly.
