Transfer: Sesko’s agent breaks silence on striker joining Arsenal in January

Elvis Basanovic, the agent of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, has denied that the player could join Arsenal in this January window.
Sesko was first linked with the Gunners in the summer of 2024.

However, the Slovenian striker turned down the move to remain with the Bundesliga side.

With Mikel Arteta desperate to bolster his attack this month, Arsenal have been linked with Sesko again.

But Basanovic has now responded to those speculations, insisting that Leipzig are not ready to entertain offers for the 21-year-old.

When pushed specifically on whether Arsenal had made enquiries, Basanovic said: “I can’t answer that question for you.”

“I don’t think Leipzig would be satisfied with any compensation at the moment. Leipzig does not want to sell Benjamin Sesko because they really value him immensely.”

Sesko’s contract with Leipzig runs until the summer of 2029 and does not contain a release clause.
