Turkey: Osimhen reacts to Galatasaray’s draw at Hatayspor

Victor Osimhen says Galatasaray lacked intensity in the first half of their Turkish Super Lig clash against Hatayspor.

Okan Buruk’s side held their hosts to a 1-1 draw in the keenly contested encounter on Friday night.

Osimhen scored for Galatasaray from the penalty spot in the 56th minute.

The striker claimed they were below par in the first half and only came alive after the break.

“There was a bit of a lack of intensity in the first half. We let the opponent play a bit. Then, with the speech of our coach, we started the second half very well,” he told the club’s official website.

“We also increased the intensity. We focused a lot on our game. These matches are difficult. We need to maintain our focus.

“We need to take advantage of every opportunity. We missed many opportunities. We will try to do better by learning from our mistakes.”

Osimhen has so far registered 14 goals and six assists across all competitions for the Yellow and Reds this season.
