DSS arrests 10 Boko Haram, ISWAP suspects in Osun State

Department of State Services (DSS) have detained 10 alleged Boko Haram affiliates in Ilesa, Osun State.

Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the spokesperson for Governor Senator Ademola Adeleke, verified that the suspects are linked to Boko Haram and the Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP).

Rasheed highlighted that the state government would keep working alongside security agencies and reinforcing their initiatives to guarantee the safety and well-being of Osun residents.

He encouraged the Osun residents to stay alert and notify the proper security agencies about any questionable activities in their neighborhoods.

He stated, “Governor Adeleke praised the alertness of security personnel in countering the danger presented by the alleged terrorists, assuring the public that our security forces are dedicated to ensuring peace and safety throughout Nigeria.

The governor particularly commended the intelligence collection work of the State Service staff, who carefully observed the actions of these offenders and took prompt measures to avert additional damage.

“This represents a constructive advancement and a notable comfort, benefiting not just our government but also the citizens of the state and the nation as a whole.” I applaud the security personnel for their alertness and operations guided by intelligence. “We have complete trust in our security personnel to keep us safe.”
