Transfer: Nigerian defender Kayode set for Brentford move

Nigerian-born defender, Michael Kayode is set to join Premier League club, Brentford from Fiorentina, Media Talk Africa reports.

According to Violanews, Brentford are already in advanced talks with Fiorentina to sign the young defender.

Brentford want to sign Kayode on loan with the option to make the move permanent at the end of the current season.

Fiorentina are desperate to include a buy-back clause in the deal.

The 20-year-old was a revelation for the Viola last season, making 26 league appearances.

He has however struggled to secure regular playing spot under Raffaele Palladino this term.
