Worst team in history – Amorim reacts as Brighton beat Man Utd 3-1

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has described the current squad as “the worst team, maybe in the history of Manchester United.”

Amorim was reacting to a 3-1 defeat to Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday.

The result leaves the Red Devils stuck in the bottom half of the table.

“In 10 games in the Premier League, we won two,” Amorim said.

“Imagine what this is for a fan of Manchester United. Imagine what this is for me.

“So we are getting a new coach who is losing more than the last coach. I have full knowledge of that.

“Like I said, I’m not going to change, no matter what. I know we can succeed, but we need to survive this moment. Because I’m not naive and I know that we need to survive now.

“We are maybe the worst team in the history of Manchester United. I know that you want headlines, but I’m saying that because we have to acknowledge it and change it. Here you go, your headlines.”

United are currently 13th in the Premier League. Bruno Fernandes’ penalty was United’s only shot on target during their loss to Brighton.
