Notorious bandit leader, Na’ballo, eight others killed

A notorious bandit leader, Na’ballo, an ally of Ado Aleiro is dead.

Na’ballo, a high profile bandit with a history of terrorizing communities, was killed during a clash with troops.

He was reportedly based in the eastern Takulawa, in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State from where he coordinated criminal activities.

Zagazola Makama, a Lake Chad Basin counter-terrorism and insurgency expert, said Na’ballo met his end during an internal confrontation among bandit factions in the area.

In a separate incident on Monday, suspected Fulani bandits launched an attack on motorists between Kucheri and Magazu villages.

The motorists narrowly escaped and alerted the military.

Acting on the intelligence, troops responded swiftly and neutralized the bandits in a coordinated operation, killing all eight attackers.

No civilian was harmed during the military intervention.
