NDLEA destroys expired drugs in Jigawa

The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, in partnership with the Association of Pharmaceutical Chemists, has destroyed expired drugs valued at over N800,000 in Gumel Local Government Area of Jigawa State.

The chairman of Gumel Local Government Council, Alhaji Lawan Ya’u Abdullahi, disclosed this during the event in Gumel.

He reaffirmed the council’s commitment to safeguarding public health, emphasising the importance of collective efforts in building a healthy society.

Speaking earlier, the chairman of the local chapter of the Association of Pharmaceutical Chemists, Malam Bashari Dahiru Gagarawa, expressed gratitude to both the state and local governments for their continued support in improving healthcare delivery.
