Sokoto govt increase salaries of judges

The Sokoto State Executive Council has approved a new and improved remuneration system for judges in the state, aimed at enhancing service delivery within the judiciary.

This was disclosed by Governor Aliyu Ahmed of Sokoto in a statement on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle.

“We are fully committed to enhancing service delivery within the judicial system of our beloved state,” Ahmed stated.

He emphasized the importance of a robust judiciary in fostering societal stability.

According to him, the dispensation of justice remains paramount in the state’s priorities.

He highlighted that the new remuneration system is part of efforts to ensure the judiciary is well-equipped to maintain law and order.

“A high-quality justice system is essential for a stable and effective society,” Ahmed noted.

He reiterated the administration’s resolve to uphold and maintain law and order in Sokoto State.
