NPFL: Rangers defender Opara anticipates difficult second stanza

Rangers defender Austin Opara has warned his teammates to expect a more difficult second half of the 2024/25 season.

The reigning NPFL champions will trade tackles with Niger Tornadoes at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium on Saturday.

Opara believed that Niger Tornadoes will be aiming for an upset in the game but stated that the players are focused on starting the second round on a positive note.

Media Talk Africa recalls that Rangers defeated Niger Tornadoes in the reverse fixture 1-0 in Minna.

“It would be a difficult second stanza but we have our work cut out which is to ensure that we make Enugu a fortress and as Tornadoes visit,” Opara stated.

“Niger Tornadoes would want to get something from the game but we are focused on starting the second round on a good note.

“I believe we have what it takes to effectively challenge for the title again.”
