NPFL: Akwa United bolster squad with five new players

Akwa United have signed five new players for the second stanza of the season, Media Talk Africa reports.

Forward Uche Sabastine, midfielders Ogar Sabastine and Samuel Tochukwu joined the Promise Keepers from PSports Academy.

Other new signings are Orji Chisom from Sporting Lagos and defender Adamu Umar, who was signed from Sunshine Stars.

Additionally, right-back, Asuquo Etiene has returned to the team after a loan spell at local rivals , Dakkada FC.

Akwa United currently occupy 19th position on the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, table.

The Uyo club will host leaders Remo Stars in a matchday 20 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Sunday.
