NPFL: Rangers fall to Tornadoes, Nasarawa pip Katsina United

Niger Tornadoes stunned holders Rangers 2-1 in their matchday 20 encounter at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, on Saturday.

The visitors avenged their 1-0 home defeat to Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side last December.

It was Rangers’ second home defeat of the 2024/25 season.

Tornadoes took the lead through new signing Ismail Sarki after 17 minutes.

The lead lasted four minutes before Collins Ugwueze equalised for Rangers.

Ifeanyi Okechukwu scored the winning goal for Tornadoes in the 64th minute.

In Lafia, Nasarawa United edged out Katsina United 1-0 in a keenly contested encounter.

Qamar Adegoke’s 34th minute strike separated both teams on the day.
