EPL: ‘You should do better’ – Guardiola calls out 3 Man City stars after 3-1 win over Chelsea

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has called out three of his stars after the Cityzens 3-1 win over Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.

He blamed the trio of Ilkay Gundogan, Mateo Kovacic, and Bernardo Silva for failing to use debutant, Omar Marmoush to punish Chelsea’s high line.

The Egyptian forward, who joined from German side, Eintracht Frankfurt this January, played from the start for Manchester City as they ran out 3-1 winners over Chelsea at the Etihad.

Marmoush showed his incredible pace and willingness to run in behind on several occasions during the game.

Guardiola enjoyed his performance and hailed him for his ‘incredible’ movement but called out his midfielders who he felt should have maximised the player’s potentials.

“He made incredible movements that players in the middle could not see.

“I think [Ilkay] Gundo, and [Mateo] Kova, and Bernie [Silva], they should be more clever in the movements with the high line that Chelsea had,” Guardiola said.

The Egyptian International who cost Manchester City about £70m pounds in the ongoing transfer market, was a constant threat for Enzo Maresca’s men.

He had a goal disallowed for offside and forced Chelsea goalkeeper, Robert Sanchez into an early save after running beyond the Blues’ high line.
