Hardship: I now rely on rent from my Kaduna house to feed – Ex President, Buhari

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has lamented the current hardship in Nigeria.

Buhari disclosed that he now relies on rent from one of his two houses to feed himself.

Addressing the All Progressives Congress, APC, Caucus at the Katsina State Government House, the former president insisted that he never enriched himself in a corrupt way while in office for eight years.

He noted that he has only three houses in Daura, Katsina State, and Kaduna State, Buhari, insisting that nobody could blackmail him for illicit enrichment while in office.

The former president tasked leaders on transparency and accountability as guiding principles while in office.

Buhari pointed out that most Nigerians are unaware of the administrative challenges involved in governing the country but simply blame their leaders during and after their tenures.

โ€œAfter my eight years as a civil president, I have only three houses; one in Daura and two in Kaduna. I have given one out for renting where I get money for feeding,โ€ Buhari said.
