Aston Villa are interested in signing Joao Felix from Chelsea before the end of the January transfer window.
According to RMC Sport, Aston Villa are now in direct negotiations with Chelsea over a deal for Felix this month.
Aston Villa manager, Unai Emery, is a huge admirer of the Portugal international but the playmaker has attracted interest from other clubs around Europe.
Emery’s side were keen on signing Felix last summer before losing out to Chelsea.
Felix joined Chelsea in a £46.3 million deal from Atletico Madrid last summer.
The 25-year-old has struggled to secure regular playing time under manager Enzo Maresca.
Felix has started just three Premier League matches for the Blues so far this season.
This is coming after Felix pulled out of Chelsea’s squad that lost against Manchester City in the Premier League last weekend.
The former Barcelona star pulled out due to family bereavement.
