NNL: Sokoto United boss Muraya demands improvement from players

Sokoto United general manager, Umar Muhammed Muraya has expressed dissatisfaction with the position of the club following the conclusion of the first stanza of the 2024/25 season.

Sokoto United finished in fourth position with nine points from six matches at the end of the first stanza.

Muraya urged the team to work diligently in the second stanza in order to secure a championship playoffs ticket.

“While we acknowledge our current position in the league table, we are not satisfied with it,” Muraya stated in his address to the players.

“We must work diligently in the second stanza to reclaim our rightful position, qualify for the Super 8, and ultimately secure a promotion ticket.”

Meanwhile Sokoto United have embarked on a one-week break following the conclusion of the first stanza.

The players and officials are expected to resume on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
