Yobe State promotes 1,000 teachers

The Yobe State Government has approved the promotion of 1,000 teaching staff across the state as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the education sector.

The announcement was contained in a statement signed by Fatima Zakari Baba, the Information and Public Relations Officer of the Teaching Service Board (TSB), following a management meeting held at the Board’s headquarters in Damaturu.

According to the statement, the Executive Chairman of the TSB, Alhaji Yakubu Dokshi, expressed his satisfaction with the promotion exercise, highlighting it as a recognition of teachers’ dedication and commitment.

“I am delighted to inform you that 1,000 teachers have been promoted across the state. This is a testament to their commitment and resilience in building a better education system in Yobe,” he stated.

Alhaji Dokshi commended the management team of the TSB for their dedication in driving reforms aimed at revitalizing education in the state.

He urged teachers to remain punctual, resilient, and dedicated in delivering quality education to students.

He also lauded Governor Mai Mala Buni for prioritizing education as a core part of his administration’s agenda.
