Tems cancels Kigali concert over DR Congo-Rwanda conflict

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Tems, on Friday cancelled her ‘Born in the Wild’ tour stop in Kigali, Rwanda.

Tems announced the cancellation of her concert scheduled for March 22, 2025, following the ongoing conflict tension between the Democratic Republic of the Congo, DRC and Rwanda.

Announcing the development, the singer in an Instagram post apologized for initially promoting the show, stating that she was not aware of the conflict.

“So I recently promoted my show in Rwanda without realizing there is an ongoing conflict between Rwanda and Congo. I never intend to be insensitive to real world issues, and I sincerely apologize if this came across that way.”
