Gunmen on Saturday abducted Alhaji Moshood and his family members in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Media Talk Africa reports.
The incident occurred at the victim’s residence, Owoyale Agbamu, Ajase Ward 2, of the local government.
They were kidnapped around 9pm at his residence in Owoyale Agbamu in Ajase Ward 2 of Irepodun Local Government Area, Kwara State.
Reacting to the incident in a statement in Ilorin on Sunday, the spokesperson for the Kwara State Police Command, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, said: “The state police command is aware of an unfortunate kidnap incident that occurred on February 1, 2025 at about 10 pm.
“It was reported that unknown armed men stormed Owoyale village along Oro-Agbamu Road and forcefully whisked three persons to an unknown location.”
The victims were identified as Alhaji Moshood, Alhaji Abdulkazeem Owoyale (siblings), and the wife of Alhaji Moshood.
“The police, alongside vigilante and hunter groups, have swung into action, combing the forest to rescue the three victims unharmed and apprehend the criminals behind this act.”
“Further developments on the outcome will be communicated as it progresses,” the statement added.
