Kano Pillars FC suspend Technical Adviser over team’s poor performance

Kano Pillars have suspended their Technical Adviser, Usman Sheriff Abdallah, for three weeks due to the team’s poor performance.

The Club’s Media and Communications Directorate disclosed this in a statement indicating that the TA’s inappropriate gesture toward fans after a goalless draw against Bayelsa United on NPFL25 Matchday 22 on Sunday also added to reasons for his suspension.

“Following the draw at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Usman’s gesture towards the fans was deemed inappropriate by the management, leading to the disciplinary action.

“The club remains committed to maintaining professionalism and fostering a respectful relationship between the team and its passionate supporters”, the team’s management said.

Chief Coach Ahmed Garba Yaro-Yaro will take interim charge, supported by his assistant coaches.

The club has struggled recently, winning just one of their last three matches, raising concerns among the management and supporters, who expect a higher level of performance from the team.

The Pyramid City side now prepares for a tough NPFL25 Matchday 23 away fixture against Remo Stars in Ikenne, aiming to regain form and confidence.
