Championship: Palmer backs Dennis to shine at Blackburn Rovers

Former England international Carlton Palmer has backed Emmanuel Dennis to make an instant impact at Blackburn Rovers.

Rovers signed Dennis on loan from Nottingham Forest on the final day of the winter transfer window.

The 27-year-old is still highly rated despite his limited impact at Forest.

The forward played in the UEFA Champions League during his time with Belgian Pro League side, Club Brugge.

The Nigerian also impressed in his two spells with Watford.

“Dennis spent part of last season on loan at Watford, so I fancied him to head back there, but Eustace has secured his signing. He’s a very good signing at this level,” Palmer told Football League World.

“The only problem you’ve got at this moment is he hasn’t had any game time at Forest, it made sense for him to move on. He hasn’t played any football, so it’s going to take him a little bit of time to get up to speed.”
