Former England and Barcelona striker Gary Lineker has said that Liverpool star Ryan Gravenberch is “one of the surprises of the season.”
Media Talk Africa reported earlier that former Liverpool star Jamie Carragher had also praised the midfielder.
Former England international Lineker said he has been impressed with the performances of the Dutch star.
According to him, the midfielder, along with Dominik Szoboszlai, has been terrific this season.
He said the Netherlands international has been one of the surprises of the season.
Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, Lineker said: “Those two [Gravenberch and Szoboszlai] have been terrific this season. I think probably Gravenberch has been one of the surprises of the season.”
The Englishman further stated what Liverpool boss Arne Slot told him about Gravenberch in a recent interview.
“Even Arne Slot said he was surprised how good he was when he came in, when I spoke to him in the interview a couple of weeks ago. He’s been superb, as has Szoboszlai—both dangerous players.”
