Super Falcons defender Ashleigh Plumptre has signed a new contract with Saudi Arabia Women’s Professional League club, Al-Ittihad Ladies.

Plumptre’s contract with the Tigers will expire in 2027.

Media Talk Africa recalls that Plumptre joined Al-Ittihad on a free transfer in September 2023.

The 26-year-old previously played for Leicester City before making the switch.

The centre-back scored a hat-trick on her debut for Al-Ittihad against Eastern Flames.

Plumptre has registered two goals and one assist for Lindsay Camila’s side this season.

She was part of Nigeria’s squad for the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco and the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, co-hosted by New Zealand and Australia.
