Ronaldo agrees new contract after turning 40

Al Nassr forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has agreed a new contract extension with the club, just days after turning 40.

Ronaldo joined the Saudi Pro League side in January 2023 on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

That initial agreement would have seen his deal expire at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

However, an Al-Nassr official has informed the AFP that the Portugal captain has agreed to extend his stay for another year.

The new deal will run until June 2026.

The official said: “The sides have agreed on the renewable extension of Ronaldo’s contract, but it has not been signed yet.

“An announcement will be made over the coming days.”

This news comes less than a week after Ronaldo turned 40.

The ex-Manchester United forward marked his milestone birthday with a goal against Al Feiha, as Al-Nassr won the clash 3-0.
