NPFL: Remo Stars coach, Ogunmodede warns players against complacency

Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede has told his players to keep their feet on the ground despite the team’s impressive run of form.

The Sky Blue Stars currently hold an eight-point lead at the top of the table.

The Ikenne club are also unbeaten in their last eight league outings.

Remo Stars were made to work hard for their 2-1 victory over Kano Pillars in Ikenne last weekend.

Ogunmodede’s side have agonisingly missed out on the title in the last two seasons.

Reflecting on the hard-earned win over Kano Pillars, Ogunmodede said it is important for his players not to take their feet off the gas.”

“It’s one of those things, some of the players have this belief that we are there already but we are not,” Ogunmodede told reporters.

“We have learnt a lot of lessons in our last three games. But I must salute their courage too, they fought hard.”

Remo Stars will be away to defending champions, Rangers in Enugu this weekend.
