Avoid all forms of unnecessary loans, corrupt practices – Jigawa CP warns new constables

The Jigawa State Police Command has warned newly recruited police officers to avoid all forms of unnecessary loans and corrupt practices.

The State Commissioner of Police, CP AT Abdullahi, gave the warning while addressing the newly recruited constables at the parade ground at the state headquarters in Dutse, Jigawa.

He urged them to remain disciplined and adhere to the Nigeria Police Act and Regulations, as well as other federal laws.

“We have received four hundred and forty-eight (448) newly passed-out Police Constables from the Department of Training and Development, Force Headquarters Abuja, who underwent six (6) months of rigorous training at Police College Kaduna (PCK),” he said.

The CP urged the Police Constables, including General Duty and Specialists, to carry out their primary duties with integrity, honesty, professionalism, and respect for human rights.

He also advised them to avoid all forms of unnecessary loans, corrupt practices, and bribes.

The Commissioner of Police further directed the Department of Operations and Mobile Base, 35 PMF Dutse, to immediately train the new officers, particularly on practical police duties, weapons handling, musketry, and combat operations, in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) before they are posted to various divisions.
