Tottenham vs Man United: ‘Two pub teams’ – Carragher predicts scoreline of EPL clash

Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher, has predicted the outcome of the Premier League encounter between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

According to the former Premier Leagure star, the game would end in a 1-1 draw.

Tottenham takes on Manchester United at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium on Sunday, February 16 with both teams not in their best of forms.

Ruben Amorim’s Manchester United travel to North London and are placed 13th in the league standings, only a place and two points ahead of their hosts.

Spurs manager, Ange Postecoglou, will go into the game battling multiple injury concerns and this may give the Red Devils an advantage in the match.

Carragher told Called Soccer, he does not see any of the teams coming out with all three points from this game.

“I mean, this is like two pub teams, isn’t it? It is, isn’t it? I mean, what is this? The Red Lion vs The Dog and Duck?”

Providing his scoreline prediction, the former England international, “You know what Man United do okay away from home, in sort of big stadium, but Tottenham beat them a few weeks ago.

“I think this will be 1-1, because I think Man United will go there, but they’re back five, sit there, try and make it awkward, try and nix up them. And I’m not sure Tottenham have got enough to score a few goals, even the energy.

“And I don’t think Man United have got the quality. I’m gonna go 1-1.”

Tottenham Hotspur have the likes of Cristiano Romero, Micky van de Ven, and Destiny Udogie, among others, on the sidelines.

Ruben Amorim’s men’s last game was a narrow 2-1 win against Leicester 2-1 in the fourth round of the FA Cup in their previous match.

Aston Villa, on the other hand, knocked out Tottenham Hotspur from the competition.
